Default Is my tial bov not working?

Im running a brand new tial bov. I think its either a 44mm or 50mm. I have the vacum line hooked up to the manifold vacum like it should be. It works great when i get into some real boost but when im just cruising around and i let off the gas before it reached any boost i dont heard the bov but i hear the turbo surging. Is this normal? Also if i go wot with max boost(14psi) the bov works great but at the end of it releasing the air i hear the turbo surge for a second.

Thanks
Alex

P.S It feels great to have the car out again. Its been 4 months.

Where exactly do you have your BOV vacc. line tied into? When I first installed my kit I tried using a vacc. source close to the intake but that was a no go. I then T-tapped the brake booster and it worked great.

If you aren't using a strong enough VAC source it might be your spring. Do you know what 'size' PSI spring is in your tial? If it is the heavy 11PSI spring, you may need to cut a coil or two out of it.

Yes it is the 11psi spring. I gave it a better vac source and its alot better. It still will surge after the bov releases the air but only for a second. Any negatives to cutting a coil or two.

You could also get the Tial 7psi spring...cutting the coils off will work, just go SLOWLY - if it becomes too weak you can never go back.

I would order the 7psi spring if it were me...
