What Gear W/Turbo ***URGENT***
Damn, i was almost certain that I was going to go with the 3.25's but I might even go witht the 3.00's now? Hmmm, its going to mostly be street and not much track so the 3.00's are looking like a winner to me!
On a 346 off boost 3.0 would be horrible gear..I have had car with 2.73 and buddie has 3.23 car. 3.42 really picked it up course neither was an auto turbo car. I have actually been in one lt1 3.23 turbo sts car and it spooled quick and was decent off boost. Course you have a stall and 370 so 3.00 could be ok. I would personally go with 3.23 up to 3.42 but thats just me. I have seen many cars on the boosted list going very fast with 3.42s in autos and even 3.73s so this theory of needed to go really low numberically on the gears seems to be mostly a myth.
I am going I think 3.54 on my m6 now and not worried one bit that would be too much for an auto if go auto later. I am even still considering 3.73 too.
We have seen guys like JM on the board do smoking numbers with his 480 car and current 4.10 gears. So how much do they really hurt? Debatable. He is going to 3.73 I think he said. And his car is mostly street car. Off boost if you go too low numerically they are going to be a dog. So also depends on when you start seeing boost and when you hit full boost.

Ya I talked to a couple more guys and they said 3.25 and I think it will be the best all round comprimise for an auto car. I have 3.42 in my bolt on car right now with a stall and like it, so a bit higher with a turbo and more cubes should be just right.
I have 3.25s, TH400, 3k stall, AND RUN A 28" TIRE ON RACE DAY (SRY CAPS). Great streetabilty and the local busa's want none on the freeway if I throw that bitch in high gear from 50mph.
