Default Turbo build...what do people think?

Once I get the NA LQ4 swapped into my 88 Monte SS, I think I'm gonna start piecing together a DIY single front mount turbo setup. Heres my plan, let me know what you guys think.

'05 LQ4, stock longblock with LS6 springs and Comp 216/226 112LSA cam
Stock truck intake with ported TB
MSD 6010 Ignition controller, Megasquirt fuel control
BW S400 Turbo
Truck manifolds with 2.5" hot side piping
3" cold side piping, 3" intercooler
3.5" down pipe (reduced from 5" outlet on turbo)

Rest of the drivetrain consists of a built 2004r and I'll be ordering the appropriate boost friendly converter from Yank with somewhere around 3400-3600 stall. I have 3.42s, 3.73s, and 4.10 gears to play around with to put the finish line RPMs where I want them.

So how does this combo sound? Motor is pretty mild but the turbo should do good. I'm looking to stay purely on pump gas right now.

What kind of boost could I safely run? HP Estimates? I'm thinking around 12PSI and I should be able to hit 600-650HP pretty easily. Thoughts?

that'll be nice to gt some more boosted cars on the cape..on a stock 6L. u dont realy need a T6 turbo with with such a big exhaust housing a 1.32-1.10 a/r is big for a street car set up. a pt70-pt76gts would be all ur motor will need .96 a/r 3-3.5in dp. u could run 12 psi coud get deff get 600whp if u wanted to push it 5-550 would be safe enough and a good tune. what are u doing for comp. and tuning..and fuel.

I'm suck between a S400/72 and the S400/75, both with a 1.10 AR.

My fuel will be a new set of injectors (have to size once I figure out what I wanna do). I run an intank Walbro 255 which probably wont cut it. Im guessing I'm gonna end up making a dual intank hanger for it. I run a -08an feed line into the stock rail, and a -06an return off the Corvette style filter/reg unit.

I would look at either a single pattern cam or a reverse split. All the big power cars I have seen lately have one or the other. I ordered a 236/236 at the recommendation of VA Speed

I'm gonna try this cam for now since I only spent $75 for it. I'm gonna try and keep this longblock alive anyways til I can afford a forged setup so I'm not looking to break any records.

I'd like an honest 525-550 rwhp while keeping the setup alive. Later down the road when I spurge for some forged internals I'll up the boost some. For now, its all pump gas.

while there are several things that could be better on your setup, you should not have any problems getting 550rwhp out of that
