I not a auto mech., but how come a magna charger that fits a 02'LS1 corvette and not an 02'LS1 SS? I thought the engine size is the same 5.7???

The engines are the same size. What is different is the amount of room under the cowl. The F-body has no room under it.

Also the belt system for the C5 is different than the F-body. The C5 belt runs about 1" closer to the motor than on the F-body. Next time you look at the ware mark on you water pump pully and then compair it to the C5 water pump pully.
