Default Custom Front Mount Intercooler (FMIC)

I looked and looked, i could not find a guide to build a custom front mount intercooler. I was wondering if anyone who has done this could spare their 2 cents and show us the light... I know if i do a custom intercooler i would save a lot of money over a built kit. 3 questions maybe 4

1) Best intercooler to buy off ebay. easiest to mount.

2) Best piping to get for my set up.. FMIC for a d1sc procharger....

3) Whats the best piece to get that goes to the throttle body?

I would like a 3inch setup if possible. I mostly see 2.5 inch on ebay. I dont know what would fit.

And if anyone has any advice to give that would be great.
thanks....

Also what would be a good bypass valve for the system above. A very loud bov. also would going from the twin intercooler kit to a FMIC require a new tune? What would be different besides the bypass valve is not feeding back back?

I put my FMIC horizontal and love the stock appearance on the front. But since you have a camaro, you may not mind putting yours vertical. I'd recommend the big red ATI race BPV.

I got a 31x12x3 from just intercoolers(CXracing) on ebay $68 ($40 S&H) and a 3" piping kit to get started, then got the specialty couplers I needed to finish from Silicone intakes (they sell some on ebay also).

You have to put 3" or 4" in the search or you'll be going through the results all days, but they do have them.

Mounted in the bumper and put polished alum. mesh over the openings(even under the turn signals). I doesn't look bad especially for only having $25 and my time cutting the bumper cover up in it.

It's not a good pic, but the IC is not that noticable at all.

I got my 31x12x4 (24x12x4 core) off ebay for like $150-160 shipped.

Also picked up one of the piping kits off eBay and added a few extra pieces/fittings to my order. Hopefully I'll have every piece I need. Somewhat had it laid out before I pulled the motor. New motor should go in next weekend, and then I'll finally get around to cutting and piecing the pipes together.

Once you get under the car you'll see these cars almost look like they were designed for a Procharger with FMIC Pipes route almost perfectly. My only issue is going to be how I want to mount my fuse boxes afterwards.

As for a bypass valve, the big red ATI race valve is like $360. It looks big in pics, but I didn't realize how BIG it was til I had it in my hand. Haven't decided where I'm mounting that yet..
