turbo cam

im going to be installing an sts turbo kit on my car in a month or so and im also looking to upgrade my cam also any suggestions on one that will compliment the turbo?

if you want a cheap cam but nice stock sounding idle, go with a LS6 cam. if you want more custom options get a custom grind like 228

is there much of a power increase with the ls6 cam ?

Lingenfelter gt2-3 or gt-7 are both simlar to z06 cams. You can try them or the z06 cams not sure if lingenfelter cams have different ramp rates or type of lobes over the gm ones.

Both the ling cams are their recommended cams for super or turbo use with the second one the newest one. I am going to be trying out the gt-7 in my coming build. Both the above cams should give a very smooth factory like idle and not be too hard on valve springs.You of course will have to put in better valvsesprings though for either of them.

02-03 ZO6 cam: 204/218 .551/.547 -117.5 LSA
Lingenfelter GT2-3 207/220 .571/.578 –118.5CL

05-07 ZO6 cam 210/230 .561/.557 –120.5 LSA
Lingenfelter GT7 208/230 .554/.546 –121CL

when do you plan on putting the gt7 in ?

I am waiting for my newly ordered forged 408 engine to show up, estimated early may. Will likely start on it very close to that date. Still have to buy a few more parts here and there like fuel system to support the planned power goals.
