have to talk to w2w to find out how much. I agree it is a pretty penny but weight wise i could not 'afford' an iron block. i was nearly 3900 race weight last year with my ls2

i agree my block got a bit heavier but well worth the weight. this is my old block

the heads are all pro 6 bolt cathedral

still going to run a stock tb and ls6 intake at least until i can get ahold of one of those street warrior units. also stock rockers, stock style oiling system (bigger pan)

I guess now you get to meet the LSX block. If you noticed the 2 bolt holes in addition to the standard 4 then it would be an easy sign. Nice block man and by the looks of the cylinder wall you are going what 370ish/ 383? Lots of material and with the extra 2 bolts holding you money down on the block, I cant wait to see a 30 psi LSX motor.

Well, I appreciate your attempt at being Captain Obvious. If YOU notice the block is aluminum, LSX=iron. In addition to the post just previous to yours where MIGHTYMOUSE states "i agree my block got a bit heavier but well worth the weight. this is my old block". I also thought I remembered him posting about having this done to his LS2 block. I won't hold it against you.

Well i would think the warhawk and erl will be pretty close in weight.I believe the warhawk weights 133 lbs and the lsx lron weights 225 lbs.I still like the warhawk and think people are going the the erl so they can run at memphis.

Hard to answer without having the same blocks on the same scales. LSX block is 225 without prep...roughly 210lbs after prep depending how much you bore it. Warhawk block is 133lbs. ERL mods should make the stock block close to a Warhawk...possibly heavier since it might be stronger with the interlock material.....rough guess would be ~70lbs lighter than a prepped LSX.

Did W2W weigh it MM?
