Injector Options for larger injectors

Injector Options for larger injectors Just finishing up a blower motor project in a 99 GMC P/U. It is a 5.7l with a ATI Procharger pushing 14 psi of boost. I noticed that the stock injectors have different connector ends then the traditional style used on the LS1/LS6 motors. What do I need to do to run a 42 lb/hr injector with this setup? It also looks as if the actual size of the injectors is different. Could the LS1/LS6 style harness ends be used with the same family of injectors? Could the fuel rail be shimmed?

Re: Injector Options for larger injectors you can get 42lb injectors that drop right in from racetronix's they are a GM marine injector
you Can also buy some injector connectors from racetronix's and splice in some injectors you will have to shim the fuel rails up
there is actually a tech article for this

Re: Injector Options for larger injectors I added the injectors to our website if you need them. Go to www.azspeed.com They are on the front page at the bottom or in the truck section.

Re: Injector Options for larger injectors 9D9LS - Don't even worry with the direct fit injectors. They will not be enough for a 5.7L with 14psi. The 42# direct fit injectors are rated at 4bar so they are true 42# injectors. A 42# SVO injector is more like a 50# injector at our fuel pressure(4bar).
The injectors in the trucks are different as you've found out and to put normal injectors in you will have to do some customizing to the fuel rail and injector connectors.
Here is a link to the little "how-to" post I made on converting over to regular injectors.
