Im really tempted to get ls6 springs since i only want 500 or so hp on this motor, when i build a motor i will get some heads which will have dual springs of coarse.

I like that patriot kit, not to bad since its springs, and ti retainers, and everything.

Hmmmmm... Chris

Thats the one that has a close profile to the Z06 cam right, and also what EPP uses allot in there FI cars for customers. If so you should buy that cam if its reasonably priced, would work great. I can't remember the lifts on it though as you might need better than some yellow springs. Its hard to dump a bunch of money into something you know you are going to upgrade. It might be better to just ****** up them Z06 springs for nothing and let it ride.

FWIW, I might slap my turbo kit on my stock motor until my 370 is done being built................. and my stock motor has the Z06 springs on it already. Wastegate has a 9psi spring, so we'll see how it likes the boost

I was told ls6 springs would probably be ok, but i was thinking the 918's would be a little better then those. What other options do i have to stay away from dual's but not ls6 or 918. Thanks, Chris

You can grab a set of PAC 918's for 130$ from SDPC

The PAC 918's are the original design people ran for 8 years or so before Comp switched manufactures and created a faulty designed beehive spring

The PAC 918's would be an awesome budget solution in your application

Im very surprised your running stock springs and pushrods. That is usually the first thing some one does on any kind of serious build. Its looks like you have really put alot of effort on this setup and it looks great. I would hate to see some thing go really wrong because you didnt spend $300 bucks on top end parts that you should have replaced along time ago.

My buddy's turbo LS1 picked up 50rwhp on the dyno by going to a good spring and the hardened pushrods. It was a stock LS1 with a Ford AOD/12-bolt and an STS kit.
