finally made it to the track
well, we went friday to make a few runs and my transbrake button broke and we was unable to make a full pass........so as luck would have it they decided to open sunday for a few hrs (brainerd).
we made 1 1st gear pull, and 2 full passes. would have made more but it was blowing thru the converter BAD. it wasnt dropping but 200 to 250 rpm between shifts. and we didnt build but a max of 1.9lbs of boost of the line, because of the converter. so my 60 ft times are approx .30 off from what i am expecting
it mph good enough for a 5.8x but the converter was not liking the boost. i dont think its to bad for only the 2nd run out of the box and NO dyno times. (was a nitrous car last year)
it had 0.3% o2 correction and the a/f was around 11.0. so we still have a little left in the a/f we can sneek out.................plus it made only a max of 16lbs of boost.
so we still have a few things on the table to get were i want to be.
here are my times and specs. i am shooting for 5.5x and 1.3x 60 ft times.
weber racing 370
afr 225
pt88mm turbo
kentucky turbo--crossover, intercooler, and cold side parts
turbo 400 w/ transbrake
35 splined 12-bolt w/ 3.42 gears and a custom spool
fast xfi and xim
car weighs 3566 w/ me in it
TIMES:
1.62 60 ft
6.25 1/8
116.88 mph
thanks to
sam daffron-
for the on spot tune in less than 2 passes, (but just wait till i get a converter and we will see better times).
-the suspension parts
-and the suspension set-up
chris phillips- for hooking me up with an alignment at the very last minute. and in a hurry....................oh yeah, and the lift.........
this bitch left straight and stayed straight
