well it all boils down into what type of driver you are. If you like rowing through the gears you will never switch to an auto. If all you care about is going as fast as you can in a straight line then definitly switch to an auto. There are excellent drivers that go mid 9's all day long in an M6 car. Enough said.

Um... My car has 4.10 gears- and with a M6, at 70mph on the highway, its at 17-1800rpms.. At 75mph- its right at 19-2000 rpms.. I dont think thats all to hateful with the car being 660 at the crank, and 543rwhp..(very conservative 7.9pounds of boost) Ya, to me- its rediculous that around town the car gets 18-20mpg, (in n out of the throttle) and 26mpg out on the road.. ( in 6th the whole way)
i dont have it yet, but next month i will be picking up a moser 9 with 3.25. I will stay m6 this summer, but plan on th400 for the winter, and im more picking my gear for the th400 in the future then the m6 now.

If i was going to keep the car m6. id pick a gear that i was trapping at my redline in 4th...

i like to be at 90mph at 2000 or less and i have 3.73 right now and 1st and 2nd suck with big DR it does not hook up. so i was hoping 3.42s help but i dont want to kill it with a tire thats too tall at the track.
