Default Had to lower my sway bar

Since I installed the magnacharger, I haven't been able to run the AC belt. With the K-member lowered, the AC belt was rubbing the sway bar. I took a sway bar clamp to a buddy of mine who happens to be a machinest. I told him what I was looking for and this is what we ended up with. He did an awesome job and it works great. The aluminum used was left over scrap he had laying around. Total cost to me was $2.00 for the new bolts and washers. Sorry for the quality, the pics were taken with my phone.

Stock bolt on left. New longer bolt on the right.

that was a awesome quick fix for that, it bugs me though i dont know why turbo kits and some supercharger kits like yours interfere so dam much with the sway bar, i would think some more engineering would go into keeping that in place(i would understand the 5" downpipe cars and huge blower cars but still). I mean it is a sway bar and if you dont know what ur doing you will probably hurt urself depending on the rest of the cars setup

you forget that you are dealing with almost 10yr old cars, the designers cant account for saggy or blown motor mounts bad end links etc.... they do what they can and it's up to the owner to insure proper figment for their specific application.

Keep in mind that the magnacharger kit was not engineered to fit my car. I had to make the car fit the magnacharger.

Also keep in mind that the engineering is hard enough with thousands of rules to follow. they cant actually take time out to design around people adding hundreds of hp with forced induction.

Cool deal. I will always keep the sway on my car as well since it sees almost all street. I had to lower the bar on my last kit because the hot side pipes were so low and did it about the same way you did with longer bolts and some spacer blocks. Good work! I'd do everything i could as well to keep AC, its a must have IMO
