Cam on stock LS1??

Cam on stock LS1?? I have a 01 ws6 with a D1SC with 8lbs for the last 3-4 years now
Been thinking about putting a SC cam in it but I get mixed reviews...Its it worth the cost for the gain?? Or better to throw 9-10lbs of boost at it?? I plan on doing a forged engine down the road but that won't happen for a few years..I'm almost done putting my scde 8-rib kit on it and going to have to get a re tuned so now would be the time to do it..

I have stock heads, stock intake and stock bottom end. I put EPP's blower cam in mine and of course fortified the valve train. I made the power in my sig on 7psi. I think the cam was the best mod I have done so far. The cam sounds awesome through my LT's and catback. I made this power on a dyno dynamics dyno, I am told it reads similar to a mustang dyno.
