I'd love to see some videos too. I'm in the process of doing something similar soon. I've got the block, rotating assembly, and the turbo is on the way. I'm not sure how my turbo compares. I'll have to look that up. I'll be going with a TH400 on the other hand though.

as i said in the last post, it seems the turbo lags almost perfectly allowing the suspension to load. its a bit stupid really, im not sure how I got that lucky. Im happy dead hooking well over 1000whp from 40mph in a 2800lb car

unfortunately I will never max this turbo out, my block wont clamp the heads hard enough. while some people might see this as overkill, I think I called it right on target.

good luck to you for sure! six speed big power is the ****.I ran into a similar issue way back when I had my cam only blue Z28. My clutch started to slip to the point where it would dead hook from like 5mph and just roll out like it was on slicks, but it was on street tires haha. I outran a few way higher horsepower cars with that setup.

Dunno why you locked in a few haters in this thread. Your build is wicked! I might only hate to pull up on you on the highway. I'm going to Houston for TX2k9 with about 20 friends, but won't be taking my car. If you go, I'll look you up.

Im a sponsor with my clothing label for TX2k9, so I will have a booth set up during most of the events. The car will be parked by it. Ill have a few employees with me but I wont be hard to find. Be sure to come by and let me know who you are, Id like to meet you. Not a TON of LSX guys that show up compared to the supras and vipers, so Im always happy to meet fellow V8ers.

Nope. All of that was extra stuff I had laying around that I needed to sell since I lost my job. I wish I could have used it all to buy parts, but I had bills to pay.
I'm feeling pretty much the same way. I know it is a bit overkill for what I'm building right now, but the price was right. I have $750 in my block and rotating assembly. It should be fun for the minimal money I have in it.

When you do the video please get some of the boost gauge as it spools. I've done this with mine so I can give others a point of reference. I've found it very hard to find spool up videos. I need to go make some more of mine as well to show how it does on the 2 step.

Wasnt worried about the driveability part of the solid roller, more the adjusting the valve lash often.
The cam was ground to push about 20psi (from what I was told when i bought the stuff, at 19.5lbs of boost this exact heads/cam/intake combo made 1300whp through a glide on the black car, 398ci, 91mm turbo). Through a 6 speed you can guess what that about equates too, so I dont think I will "need" to run quite 20lbs. Ill be turning it to about 8000.
It all depends on what it does on the dyno. I have my opinions, but im not mechanically inclined enough to disagree with anyone. Ill just have to wait and find out.

I can vouch for those #'s from the heads/cam/intake combo. Also 7 sec time slips

Its about time for updates and ****. I seen pics of this monster at TX2K9 but I havent seen it do ****. I aint doubting it a bit. I just really wanna see this thing slap some supras and **** around!
