Go with the ATI intercoolers. I've had several friends (different make/models of cars, too) remove their steel bumper and insurance would not cover any damages since they were removed.

HMMM....thats good to know but.... I think Bob's kit doesn't require cutting of the bumper anymore? Maybe I am wrong, but I thought it is a bolt in deal now. I gotta do a little more research on this. I would rather have the FMIC, its got to cool the charger better then the little twins, not too mention less piping/couplers to leak etc.

Gonna be a little while before I can pull this off anyway so I got a little time to figure everything out. I know I am buying Bob's full kit though.

Damn I just re-read Jake's post, he says you lose the bumper beam so that kind of sucks. Guess I will go with the twins, then I can keep my fog lights and license plate cover also.

I wonder how much those 4.5" twins will support should I build a new forged motor in the future and try to boost it up to 12lbs for pump gas? Guess I will have to deal with it as is until then. For now, i am just concerned about the stock motor living a while and making at least 530rwhp....

We're making 740 rwhp out of this Corvette http://www.exoticperformanceplus.com...Car.php?car=40 through the twin intercoolers with 16 psi of boost. We do have a methanol kit on it which helps out greatly. Bob

Keep your cam, these prochargers like the big cams. When I put my D1 on, everyone told me to get rid of my F14 cam because it was way too big. I didn't listen because I wanted to see what it would do. It made 408rwhp before and 682rwhp after adding the D1. This was with a stock 346 through a stalled 4l60e and a 12 bolt. Sounds like the big cam thing is catching on now though because most everyone has said to keep it. Funny how things change in a year, my post was the complete opposite, not one person told me it would be ok. They all said go to a small supercharger cam, lol. I'm glad I didn't listen.

DAMN, so you gained 274hp just from bolting on the blower? How many lbs of boost? Prolly like 15lbs? How the hell is that thing still alive? Nice work all the same though...

Actually it only took 13psi @ 6800rpm with a 4.25 pulley. I started with a 4.11 pulley and it was up to like 14psi @ 4500rpms making over 500rwhp so they stopped the pull to swap to a larger pulley in fear of making too much power lol.
Oh yeah, it's not alive anymore because I spun it too high(7250) at the track trying to get my 9second pass. 10.10 and it blew before the finish line If I didn't spin it so high I'm sure it would have lasted a while. I still got to drive it on the street for a few months and made over 10, low 10 second passes.

Was that on a stock motor aside from the cam?

I am battling over which way to go.... H/C/I/N20 or C/D1sc. I know I would rather have the blower setup but I could easily slap on some heads/Fast 92/92/UD pulley and tune it and make 440+ on motor, then spray 150hp and make close to 600hp for about $3k, AND its proven to work at the track. Or spend about $8k for the D1sc and make 530-550hp(hopefully) and have the power all the time without worrying about filling bottles etc....BUT, I don't see a lot of these setups at the track, and the ones I do see don't seem to run to well. Basically I want to run 10.80s at full weight, with an M6 but still have it very driveable and reliable.

I think the H/C/I/N20 setup would run the numbers easier at the strip but the blower setup having 550hp everyday would be more fun on the street...

DAMN I would say you got your use out of that motor then.....HOLY SH*T.... 682hp out of the stock bottom end.... Hell I am worrying about mine at 550-600hp.... Stock 99, weak rod bolts and all.

Man I would really like to have a D1.... I am also working on my turbo hayabusa project right now..having some problems with it and I am thinking about parting it out.....if I do, I will have a D1 before Christmas....LOL

Tired of building and working on my own sh*t. Much easier to take it to a reputable shop and tell them "call me when its done".... Spent way too much money on turbo bikes....
