turbo for under $2000 does it exist

turbo for under $2000 does it exist i just offed an old project car for $2000... im wondering if some one makes a turbo kit for my 98 ls1 formula that i can just bolt on and play. i want to keep the car reliable. does any one know of a kit that i can just bolt on for the price?

You can buy the parts to fabricate a turbo setup for around 2000, but you cannot get a complete kit, even a tuner kit for anywhere close to that

Re: turbo for under $2000 does it exist No kits for that cheap but if you know people you can get brand new turbos for a WHOLE lot less than that and can fabricate a kit yourself cheap if you have the tools 
Re: turbo for under $2000 does it exist if you can weld and have access to a pipe bender and are a good mechanic and have all the computer tuneing equip. then you could get a used turbo for about 5 bills or 1000 for new, around 200 for a good waste gate, 150 for bov, and figger around 300 in custom made pipeing, this is just a simple estimate, thats 1650 right there, not including the computer equipment,
