Default Fortifying motor questions

I want to forge my motor this winter. Starting the research now.
I currently have a stock bottom end pushing 8 to 10psi. I want to strengthen it up so I can let go of my worries when stepping on it.
What parts do you guys recommend? To my understanding of the ls1 motor, the crank is good for over 800rwhp and the pistons should be swapped for forged ones. What about rods and other things I am missing here?

Rods and pistons for sure. Ls1 crank is decent. If you got iron block 6.0, the crank is great. Rings/ as much arp hardware as you can get.

Good luck. Ps dont forget about your heads. Id get new springs/ ti retainers / pushrods and other misc pieces for sure. Especially if your going to throw any type of cam in it.

Cranks are all the same from my understanding (except the LS7) they just have to be balanced etc with the rotating assembly you choose, stock cranks are super strong either way... To consider the shortblock strong for it to hold up to alot of abuse i say just go new forged pistons with rings of your choice (and a slight dish to lower compression to where you want it for turbocharged applications), H-beam forged rods with arp bolts, arp head bolts or studs preferably, arp main studs, a new heavy duty timing chain (cheap insurance and a good time to replace it for another lifetime lol), new gaskets everywhere especially rear main seal etc, and thats pretty much it as far as "internals" go. Call me up whenever you can Max i can help you track down some nice parts for your build whenever you decide to start it....and i can tell you what i bought for mine and our other builds so you can compare everything etc etc
hope to see you around soon man!!!

Are you looking at doing it yourself? Why not just have a reputable sponser recommend components and build you a shortblock (with a warranty)? You could always sell your shortblock to offset the cost.
