The record is around an 8.50. Controling wheel hop is easy with the correct shock setup.
Fran you better make it next year.

You guys rock

Looks like a great kit. Getting the 78's to spool in a manual trans at the strip will be interesting.

That's a joke. Quickn was a flaming homosexual that thought he was going to build the greatest car ever and got perma banned for being annoying.

Nothing like working with a proven setup give frank at the Drive Shaft shop a call he could help you out with the torque tube shaft. As for the record Billy (Boweryboy) hasn't started to lean on his setup he runs 8.50s on just 16lbs of boost. His setup will make 28 -30. I am sure he could dip it into the 7s with out a problem. His car only has a 8.5 cert so he has been sticking to the Pro 8 and 8.5 racing.

Best of luck with the new project its looking killer.

Thanks, Right now the shaft inside the torque tube has a 3" steel drive shaft in it. The car came to me with an aluminum shaft. The conversion is actually pretty cool. I haven't got to work with one of the th400 converted c5's yet. We are going to run into some of the same problem with the chassis cert. issue. We have a couple quarter mile traks down here that are "easy" on us though. I have a question for you though. What kind of 60' were you cutting when yours was still IRS, and what is billy doing as well?
