Default Low Boost prob #2

Well I ran a vac line from the front passenger side fitting on the manifold.(front right side is where fuel reg is referenced) I connected it to the bottom port on the waste gate and no change in boost then tried the top and no change still.

Any suggestions did I do something wrong?

What wastegate are you running? This is how I've got my Tial 38mm configured, its probably the same for yours...

The top port should be vented to atmosphere - its only used to keep the WG valve from opening (for some boost controllers). Isn't the passenger side fitting on the manifold behind the throttlebody? You're on the right track, but I think you'd have better luck running a line from the charge pipe BEFORE the throttlebody (this WG port should not see vacuum from the motor) for it to operate correctly.

Yeah I tried both ports. My turbo does not have a fitting on the cover so I would have to drill a hole in a charge pipe and have a fitting in that I guess.I would do that if I was 100 percent sure it would work.
I have a 38mm turbo smart

Here, check this out...per Turbosmart's web site, from the UltraGate38 users manual (I was bored and wondered how different it was from a Tial, basically the same just different outlet locations for the 'ports')...

BASIC HOOK UP
If no boost controller is being used connect the boost
pressure source to the “bottom” port as shown. Connect
the Ultra-Gate “top” port to the intake side of the turbo,
between the air cleaner and the inlet on the front of the
turbocharger. Otherwise connect a short piece of the
silicon hose and face the vent downwards to stop water
or debris entering the top port.

More can be found here...

Good luck!

If you want to send us the cover we can take care of that for you. We will add a port and fitting.
