Max Boost with ATI on Stock Engine.
Max Boost with ATI on Stock Engine. I am getting an ATI Prochargwer kit and I am having a hard time figuring out which boost level I want. I know I am going to go with the D1-SC but I am looking at putting a Blow Off Valve in the system. What I am wanting to know is what is the max Boost pressure a person should use when running a completly stock 2002 LS1? Also, if I use the Blow off valve and set it for say 8 psi, and I have the SC set up to build that 8psi at a low RPM, how low of an rpm can I safley run the 8 psi of boost? Also does anyone know what the max BMEP of a stock LS1 is? Also, I have a NX system on it right now (wet system) and I hait the idea of not using it after install the ATI. I am thinking of giving it a 50 or 75 shot with a window switch of 4000 to 6500. what do yawl think of the reality of doing this is?

I don't ask you that to tick you off, just trying to get a feel for how much research you've done in advance. The notion of blowing off excess boost and running your nitrous on the top end versus down low don't sound to me like you've read much on this topic.
Just asking... and letting you know that people might be hesitant to post if they think you haven't done your homework.

Re: Max Boost with ATI on Stock Engine. No, You are right. I am just starting to get into the FI thing. I have been Juicing for a while though. I am still learning on that too. But I have no experience with SC yet. I was hopping yawl could help me grasp the knowledge. So I take it my dream of SC and a little juice is not a realistic one.

I think the use of a dual power adder is very ballzy.
Might want to research how much timing you would run with dual adders because a lot of timing and boost might result in some major cylinder pressure. Not to mention the torque might be over your BMEP limit that you are discussing in that other thread in Internal Engine.
