Cheapest way to constant 500RWHP, FI
also a side wuestion about cog set ups..just how street unfriendly are they, and what about it makes it unfriendly for a daily driver type?
ATI P1/D1 Kit
Enlarged Crank Pulley / Blower Pulley (ie MMS crank pulley)
LT Headers, aftermarket Y and catback
Blower Cam / Valvetrain upgrade
Ported Heads (some make it over 500 without heads but it means higher boost and a greater chance of belt slippage)
Upgraded Fuel Pump, 42 lb Injectors
Tuning
The above combination will usually land you at around 550 HP with a very streetable 10 psi of boost on pump gas.
Cog setups are not very street friendly. They go through belts much quicker, the belts are 100 bucks a pop, and you have to alter the bypass system. You usually won't have to worry about belt slippage as long as you keep your boost fairly low (lots of free flowing engine mods), and run a large crank/blower pulley.
Good Luck
and at 10psi, the bottom end should be all done over as well right?
