No one really answered (except guy with diesel) did it help with underhood temps and spoolup?
Is it possible to just wrap the turbo with heat wrap tape? Blankets are not very cheap

Let me know how you like that blanket in a couple months,I have 1 just like it with a hold burnt in it,and after running it 3 times,the wire mesh was burning thru the liner.

Air gap question.

Tried to trial fit the blanket and once it's on, the blanket will also be touching the radiator. Would that be a problem?

I had the same China 1 you have and it after 3 or 4 passes had the wire mesh imbedded in the padding,almost a years running on the 1 from www.forcedinductions.com and it still looks brand new,I also have seen 2000 degrees at least 20 times in short burst and it's still in awesome shape.

Also what stupid boost is saying is true. We use to sell the other blankets as well. Easy to spot cause they use the wire mesh on the inside of the blanket. Needless to say we gave out ALOT of refunds. Apparently they are imported from China and are not flame retardant.

As for being close to the rad.....no biggie other then vibration will rub a hole through the outer cover.

i have a forced inductions blanket on my S88. i can touch it without getting burnt. i haven't done any testing, but if nothing else, that makes me pretty happy
