Default Need some tips???

Im starting my motor build up, Im doing a 348 alm block, I have everything all speced, Pistons ordered, cam Ordered. The motor will take 750HP no problem, It will be very strong.
My question is, for the first season Im sticking with the stock PCM with LS1 edit. What kind of boost should I be able to dump into it befor the MAF goes CaPut??
Im not worried about anything but that. Im building it to take lots of boost!!!! But like i said one season maybe less it will not be a FAST system.
Thanks in advance.

well the MAF limit is 12khz or 62lbs/min of air, after you rescale it. this will translate to only about 620rwhp (on mustang dyno i think)
so when you get to that point its like hitting a rev limiter ive heard.

That seems to be my limiting factor on my car, once i get my injectors in.

what cam are you going to go with?

So, The boost isnt so much the problem, it is the MAF wont let you get past that sertan power point.
I have a feeling that Some people might be able to push it a little harder. But we shall see.
Im going with a 236/228-575/571@114lsa RS custum grind. We might end up testing different cams after the engine is done. I want to test a few out and see what gets the most power. It took me a long time to pick this one, But I feel it will work and work well. I hope!

cam looks like it will put down some power, i wonder how drivability will be with something that big.
and i think my 224/224-114 .561 cam is big, lol

what are you planing to spin the motor to?

Well, Right now I am running a 222/216 563/563 116lsa, And it works well.
As for drivability, I think most of that will be in the tune. I have a guy to tune my car here and he is outstanding. He had my AF as leavle as a dead guys heart rate. and that was with a 3 psi boost spike before I fixed my cracked header. They get their cars to run great with any cam. Being a 6 speed will help alot as well.
I'll prob be spinning to around 6,500. Unless it looks like I should go more or less. Depends when the power comes in and when it falls. Im sure the motor will spin 7,000 no problem if need be.
I just want a safe amount of power for now then Do a FAST system and get some bigger injectors and dump more boost. But that will be down the road a bit.
