is it possible to remove the internal regulator in a 98 camaro and add a boost referenced stock regulator to the fuel return ? or possible to add a regulator pre- the stock regulator ?

You want to remove the stock regulator from the pump assembly in the tank prior to installing a new regulator up front. Throw a walbro 255 or 2 in the tank while you're at it.

Yes. Pull the pump out of the tank and pop the regulator off. That's all there is to it.

Yes, many times. As stated, pull the stock regulator from the pump. It pops off. Add the boost referenced regulator after the fuel rails. You will have to convert to a RETURN style system.....ie run a line back to the tank from the front of the car. There are many ways to do this. The fuel injection section has some write-ups. For reference, here's some pics how I did mine couple years ago.

This is where the stock regulator plugs into the fuel pump. Pump in the picture is a Racetronix 255GPH unit

Stock regulator in hand after removal from pump.

Stock "return" line at fuel distribution block by driver-side rear tire under car.

Stock "return" removed from distribution block and capped.

Running the new return line. Trap door cut in trunk panel w/ Dremel.

New return line plugged into "stock" return location with standard LS1 QD connector. This alleviates having to drill and install a bulkhead fitting in the tank.

New return line running from fuel tank along passanger side of car to engine compartment.

Return line held on passnger side framerail w/ zipties. Holes for zipties drilled through framerail pinch seam.

Aeromotive A1000 boost referenced FPR after fuel rails. Car is now NA so the boost referenced line is capped off.

Hope this helps ya' out. Good luck

Forgive my ignorance, are there any solutions that can be used with the returnless style?
