408 alone should get you into 10's and depending on your top end setup you should be in teh upper 400's to low 500's N/A. 600RWHP can be acheived by either one of those choices. The 122 can do it, the D1 or F1 can as well with no issues. The true question should be which party do you want to be a part of the maggie bandwagon or the procharger bandwagon
This is what you will hear
"procharger all the way it can get you to 600HP and more if you want to down the road." This is the pretty typical answer. You can insert Turbo in the place of Procharger there if need be.
"Maggie is the way to go with its torque down low and can hit 600 with a 408."
Then you got the procharger guys saying "the maggie heat soaks and you will loose power" "or the 122 cannot support larger cubes", then the maggie guys in defense will say "I never had an issue with heat soak." "there are plenty of guys with 408's getting into the 600's" Then EPP will post a link to thier site showing you alot of good points and examples of thier setups. AND THEN there is my favorite answer to this all. The one that everyone thinks about when they see this post.
"Do a search its your friend."
Then you do a search and find 50% of the posts have the same answer as the said above and the other 50% are unanswered or say "Do a search."
Either way your budget or gut will send you in the right direction The Maggie bandwagon could use more people come join us

i wouldnt call the sound annoying. just about every local turbo car has had problems, ive seen nothing but good things from prochargers. if you want to work on your car all the time, put a turbo on it. but hey, maybe after i have mine for a while i'll like it less and less and then i will send you a pm an say you were right

I went through plenty of parts on my Procharged C5. Granted its not a F Body but it was an LS1 and the supporting parts were the same. Did you have to cut anything to install your FMIC from EPP? Just curious, I have not installed one on a F Body just the C5's and they have alot of rework to make them fit. Or do you just pull the bumper and it bolts right up?

I'm a fan of FI in general and although this may not necessarily be the answer you're looking for, I'd say go with whichever FI application you feel will cost less to get you to your goal. I'm pretty sure someone will eventually end up posting something along the lines of "you get what you pay for..." Best of luck with whichever route you choose to go...

For those who live in the hotter climates, we have found that by adding an extra 9" Spal fan takes care of the problem. Here is a T/A we did this to.

That's strange, it has for us and quite a few other people. If you haven't, verify that both fans are blowing towards the engine so that they're sucking air through the radiator.
Do you have your tuning adjusted so that the fans come on sooner? If not, you'll want to. Bob

I never had a problem with my D1 set-up over heating, I was making 14psi. It all depends on the set-up. I made a custom shroud with one 16" spal fan and the car never overheated even in 90 degree weather making multiple passes at the track or even stop and go street driving.
