oh ya thats exactly what i had planned. i want 1000RW+ on race and the shortblock is well built for it by LME. block itself is a darton sleeved LS2. top end components are still on the planning side but i want to keep it ls1/2 compatable. as for tuner i plan on it being slowhawk as hes alredy got my car tuned in SD and hes like god around here for these motors..and not to mention he did purevils car which was my inspiration.

Here is a 408 / S91 turbo 6spd T/A on pump gas making 800rwhp. Doing pretty good against a big turbo race fueled supra....

If it were my car I'd go with a Precision 91mm with a T6/1.00-1.25 on the exhaust side.

Kind of a slow spooling turbo though don't you think? The F-trim is a monster turbine wheel for a 91mm comp wheel.

Maybe on alky, other wise it would be a bit of a wait for boost at that relatively low power level?

I wouldn't be to comfy making much over 800 to the tires on those cubes with pump swill, sounds like a bad idea, even if the heads are made of unubtanium it will end up moving water when she starts rattling.

Yes, 4 bolt heads and pump gas are not exactly a good thing.

not a good idea but a really good tuner and some 1/2" arp studs will stop the pushing water problem. ive seen it done.

have to ask as im reading more and more about the cons of a turbo with a 6 speed... will i have any spooling issues with the GT55R on a 427? i know there are a few variables but just gotta ask...

also i asked this earlier i think and didnt get an answer but around what RPM could i be at full boost with this set up? again i know there are a lot of variables but what should i expect with a big turbo grind cam and TEA stage 3 AFR heads?

...we just picked up this GT5533R dual ball bearing turbo for a 6 speed 400ci project. Very nice setup. We got it WAY cheaper then the price you listed too. Anyways,...this car will never be auto. G-force trans, 3.73 moser. Not sure about our rear gear selection at the moment since it'll be more of a,...eh, highway/1/4 mile car.

What sized gate(s) are you useing? We're probably gonna run dual wastegates(60's) and dual BOV's....as we were instructed to possibly save the motor if an overboost situation occurs.

What are your plans for expelling the air?

would oil pressure be adequate enough if i tapped in where my oil filter is? would it be too much pressure since it is ball bearing and not journal bearing? is the oil cooling good enough for long term street use? or would i be better off just getting a journal bearing turbo?

don't the GT55s have an undersized shaft for their size? Thought there was reliability issues with them...
