Is it possible to have a blowoff valve on a magnacharger or procharger?

I believe blowoff valves only apply to turbos and centrifugal superchargers, not positive displacement superchargers like a magnacharger. My maggie does however have a bypass valve that is designed to eliminate parasitic power loss at cruising speeds, but that's different than a blowoff valve.

Blowoff valves are used to release built up boost pressure when you lift the throttle of a turbo or centrifugal application, but this isn't necessary with a positive displacement s/c.

At least that's my understanding.
