hi to all you FI guros

any one know any info on these gt2876 turbos maps sizing dimentions and would thye fit on an C5 LPE kit insted of the GT28s?

The GT2876's use the larger 4" inlet covers. So they will not drop into the place of the smaller GT28's.

Which GT28's are on the car now??? Their are several built....

They come withGT2871r's that max out around 44lb/mn. Since shipping is a big problem, get Mike Blouch at Blouch Turbo or possibly Forced Inductions might be able to do it....have them buy 2 GT2871R's and put a -11 or a -12 chra in them...it's been done and is proven to get 52ish lb/mn out of those turbos and they will bolt in place......and then you're done since they are T25 turbines...I hope you're on stock cubes or backpressure will go to the moon.

Stock GT2871R's (I ran them down to 9.9 at 141mph totally maxed out) come with a 44 pound per minute CHRA (compressor wheel,turbine,etc). Roughly, 44lb/mn x 10 hp per lb will give you a maximum of 440 engine horsepower per turbo. 2 turbos = 880ish max engine hp.

You want more power and you're space limited with the LPE system so you have to get the most out of a baby turbo.

Turbo rebuilders can take a GT2871R and remove the chra (compressor wheel, turbine wheel, etc ) and add a larger chra that will flow more air.

The -11 or -12 CHRA is a Garrett CHRA that will fit in a modified GT2871R. Mike Blouch has used both the -11 and the -12 and will know which one is the best. Jose at FI may have done this also so it's worth a phone call to him also. Jose knows turbos. Either one will boost the airflow up to 50-52lb/mn. So your engine hp could increase to 52 x 10 = 520hp x 2 = 1040total....nothing's perfect maxed out so you should see a gain of roughly 100 engine hp. But you must keep the stock engine size or the backpressure will skyrocket....it's bad enough on stock cubes.

If that's not enough power for you, then you need a different turbo system. T25 turbines are tiny....like trying to cram 10lbs of crap in a 5lb can.
