When is it necessary to change your fuel pump?

When is it necessary to change your fuel pump? I am makine 404 RWHP with my stock 28# injectors almost maxed out with a 98% duty cycle. In the spring time i will be getting 42# injectors to get my duty cycle down.
Question is when do you need to replace the stock fuel pump? How much HP before it can not keep up.
Also i know the walbroh (sp) 255 is a good pump, but what makes it better than the stock fuel pump?

check out my fuel and injector sticky. A friend added the details about how much fuel a fuel pump can pump and what injectors it can keep up with.
each injector has a volume of fuel it can deliver max, and so does a fuel pump
the stock unit in a ls1 (fuel pump) flows less than a 255 pump, i don't remember what size it is, but it is smaller. That is what makes it better, and a 255 pump cannot keep up with an injector above 51#/hr....... just check out my sticky, I will also be posting up a large excel sheet with MANY calculations in it, anywhere from Gears and Speed to Injectors to Duty cycles...etc
