Default Removing 97 Fuel tank

Does anyone have a write-up on removing the fuel tank on a 97 LT1?
I have searched all over and found nothing.

I unbolted the tank strap but how do you take the other end of the strap off? I may just be tired but I can't figure out how to drop this tank out. I dont really want to cut a hole through the trunk floor to get the pump out, so please someone help me get this tank out.

Also does the inside of this tank have a coating on it to keep it from rusting or is it bare metal? I ask because the car has been sitting for about 2 years and have almost nothing in the tank. What are the chances that the tank would need to be replaced?

The straps are removeable but it's not neccessary to remove the tank. Leave them hanging or even bend them out of the way. The panhard rod and brace need to be removed, and the shocks need to be unbolted from the rear to get it low enough to remove the tank.

Also, yes the tank is coated. It should be fine.
