Default Another fuel pump install ? (with pics)

I'm having trouble installing my new fuel pump. I've got the assembly out of the tank and have the pump installed with everything but the venturi tube. In the pictures you can see the long brown tube. In stock pump, there's a brass fitting that the tube slides over. On the new Wahlbro pump, there's no fitting, just a dimple. For those that have done this before: do you just push the venturi tube into that hole? I hope the pics help, thank you.

The venturi (brown tube) will not work because you did not buy the correct pump for the application. The correct pump will have this fitting installed. The hole you see on the new pump is the pressure bypass & should not have anything insterted in there.

I was a Wahlbro pump for an LS1 F body '99 and up. How much is a new pump by its self?
