I bought the kit but I don't know exactly what is included. They made it sound as though it is a full replacement.

When you do the Racetronix pump and harness upgrade is it a good idea to do a new regulator at the same time? I am getting ready to do the pump and harness upgrade, my car has 130k miles on it so thats why I am wondering.

I'm pretty sure the stock regulator is fine. I've been using it with that kit.

my car has 130k miles on it so if the regulators are notorious for going bad at all once they get miles on them then thats why I want to replace it while I am in there anyway. Anyone ever had the stock pressure regulator go bad once they get some miles on them?

This picture from our website shows what is included in our FPA

99+ F body

98 F-Body (there is also a filter sock which is not pictured)

There is no regulator, as it doesn't make sense for us to sell it with the regulator because of all the different set ups being used and a good adjustable regulator costing as much or more than our pump !!

Replacing the stock regulator with a new one can't hurt right ?

I'm not sure about '98 but '99 FPR don't look like they are replaceable without changing the entire sending unit. Can someone put some truth to this?

The F99 reg can be replaced by removing its locking clip.

Well my sending unit I think is on the fritz too. When I am sitting still sometimes at lights and what not my fuel guage will drop all the way down to E and then when I take off and start moving again it will come back up.

You can try to clean the level sender with a FB burnishing tool or just replace it. You do not need to replace the entire module.

What is a FB burnishing tool? Anybody know how much a new level sender costs and where is the best place to get one for a reasonable price?

http://www.lenline.ca/index.php?category=burnish

Do a search for GM level sender on eBay. There are many there. Once you swap out the float arm many are the same.

If I have your PnP pump set-up can I just remove the intank regulator and switch to a fuel rail mounted regulator?

You can not remove it. It's hole must be plugged so that the return fuel goes back into the bottom of the bucket. The reg can be disabled and then re-inserted.
