Fuel pump wiring

I have purchased a new ractronix fuel pump and wiring harness.

Can i just replace the pump or do i have to change the wiring also. How much of a difference will the wiring make?

It is a very good idea to do them both at the same time as the new pump draws alot more amps and can burn the stock wiring. The stock wiring is not ment to handle that much power through it.

I agree. The stock wiring is marginal for the stock pump. When you put in a pump that draws a lot more current, you run the risk of overloading it. The wiring harness does not take that long to install. You have to have the pump out to change all the wires anyway because you change them out all the way to the pump itself.
It will also make a difference at high load, since the stock inherent voltage drop is alleviated by the rear mounted relay and 10 gauge wiring.
