Fuel system setup

Default Help: Fuel system setup

I am putting an LSX 427 into a nova with a fuel cell. The motor is basically a stock LS7 with a cast block and was hoping I could get some advise for how to utilize the stock dead head fuel rail with the cell and an external pump. I have a walbro 255 and I am getting a universal FPR from trick flow. Can somone advise me on how I show set everything up? based on what I can rationalize with al lthe info I have gathered I think i will set up like this:

Cell->filter(not sure what size)->pump->Tfitting->regulator-> Filter(30ish micron)->rails
^<-----(back to cell)-------------------------|


Is this right?

Also what size fuel lines should I use? I was thinking 1/2 inch from cell to regulator and 3/8 from regulator to cell and rails. Like the name implys I don't have the money to to braided lines or anything super fancy.

The pump should have a sock on the bottom of it if you are doing an in tank pump.

-8 feed: Coarse filter 35 micron to a fine filter 10 micron. This is what I will be running.

If you have a sumped tank, I don't know if a filter is required before or not. I'd imagine there would be a 100 micron or so filter before to the pump and then use the two sized filters after that. May be overkill I'm not sure on that.

Pump is inline, not intank.

Forgot to mention that you run a feed into the front of the rail, crossover in the rear, and then go to the regulator. Then the return goes back to the tank.

Even more budget use the factory Corvette filter/Reg. will be fine for your setup. Give em a call I can help setup your system.
