Default H20 in PVC oil catch can???

I recently failed NY State inspection for excessive hydrocarbons (H/C car with LT heades)

I tuned the car with LS1 Edit reducing the LTRIMS to slightly negitive. I then drove 2000 miles on vacation. During the trip, I filled the gas tank with a double shot of carberator cleaner on each tank full.

Upon returning , I inspected the PCV oil catch can and found about one teasoon of crankcase oil and about 1/4 cup of water!!!!!

I assume the water came from the addition of carb cleaner to the gas, but I not sure.... the car runs great; there is no oil or water in the crankcase oil or radiator and the car runs great...

I added a fresh tank of 93 octane gas with no carb cleaner and 12 small cans of methonal (dry gas) to 1/4 tank of fuel for the emmissions re-test which will be done today....

..Any thoughts on the water in my PVC catch can?????

Thanks...

Oh thanks...

Why is that normal? ...I have had a catch can on for several months with no H20....

I assume you mean it is normal since I added a bunch of carb cleaner to the gas; right?

Anyway; hope the sucker passed emmissions this time...

Thanks..

Hydrocarbons were 55 versus an allowed limit of 60!!

...I'm worried about the test next year!
