Default Is there a diff between 98 & 99+ Fuel Pumps?

I was just wondering if there was a diff in the 98 and 99+ fuel pumps. I know the sending units arent interchangeable because the guages read different but are the actual pumps inside the same? same connectors? I am asking because my fuel pump went out and someone has a 99+ pump theyd sell me pretty cheap, I have a 98. I jumped the fuel pump and mine makes a big thump and then shuts off.

Thanks
Mike

The sending units actually read the same level sensor values, but the tanks are designed different, so the sending units will not interchange.

The correct pump is actually different due to the fuel sock size & venturi designs between the 2 years. The mounting between the 2 is totally different.

I stock the correct Racetronix direct fit unit for your car. You could rig up a universal pump, but often you get what you pay for.

its similar I think if you put a Walbro in it but you have to cut a hole in the bottom and side of the assembly. The LT1 you just break the plastic case open and slap the walbro in. Ive done plenty of LT1 walbros.

If you have to cut holes in anything, you bought a generic pump kit.

I offer the Racetronix direct fit kit that actually fits without cutting.

Yea I know that, because Racetronix makes their own assembly, but if you put that same walbro minus the assembly in there its not generic, its just custom fit.
