Default Fuel gauge randomly drops to E while idling

My fuel gauge randomly drops to E while idleing causing my check gauge light to come on. Is this from a worn out fuel pump? if so If i just change my fuel pump will that fix it? It stays on E then a few minutes after i take off it goes to whatever the level of fuel is in the car. any help would be appreciate thanks

The level sender is going bad if you replace the entire pump assembly it will have a sender on it or yu can get just the sender.

You can do a Racetronix plug-n-play pump/wiring harness, plus a new level sensor for less than a GM replacement pump costs.

I have the pumps in stock.

It'd be cheaper just to do the fuel level sensor

If you are running a modded engine with a 150 shot, a better pump is a good suggestion anyway.

I can ship you a level sender with the pump assembly if interested.
I can get one in a few days, from the dealer.

Please call to discuss at 724-322-8505.
