rookie needs help im looking to buy a 96 trans am v8 tomarrow and i dnt no much about cars so i brought my buddy with me to check it ou. he plugged in his computer and it said that an injector was bad. can i change out the one plug or do i need to buy a new rail? and there is a slight hissing but it goes away after a few mins

I doubt your buddies handheld said bad injector. Probaly said cylinder misfire, which COULD be a bad injector (also could be bad coil pack. Wire. Plug. among other things)
Yes, you can change out 1 injector if you want to. rail has to come off, but you can replace just one, yes.
Hissing sound? Hard to say without hearing it....
