Default Fuel Pressure reading??

Bought a 95 z28 - car has a Autometer Fuel pressure gauge was wondering what it should be reading at. It's at about 40 at idle. Does that sound normal. It's a electric gauge

That is correct. It should be around 40 at idle and around 43.5 at WOT. Give or take a little due to manufacturing tolerances.
If it is boosted and has a boost referenced FPR, it will be higher accordingly.

Yes it's boosted 10psi and has a FPR. It should still be around 40psi at idle right?

Yup. Again, around 40 psi at idle. And they all have FPRs.
