Fuel Injection Cleaning?
Necessary or Waste of $$$?
My 2003 Grand Prix and 2002 Century both experienced SES lights and sluggish performance in the past few months. A trip to the dealer revealed fouled injector #5.
They cleaned out the injectors under warranty and it fixed the problem.
This may be a 3.1L V6 problem, but with 2 years and 22K on the clock, would it be worth having a dealer run a fuel injection cleaning service on my 2002 Firehawk? I can't think that it would hurt any but actually help performance.?

Try some of the Ford Fuel Injector cleaner....yeah, I know FORD. It works great! Better then anything I have ever bought, and still alot cheaper then having your injectors professionally cleaned at GM. If it doesn't work, then you will have to take it to the dealer.
Use some 3m Throttle body spray cleaner in the TB and some good Lucas intank cleaner. Should be plenty these cars rarely have a problem. I do the TB cleaner almost every other oil change it helps clean out the crap in the intake.
