Default pressure regulator????

I am in process of an ls1 swap into 56 chevy and my question has to do with the stock 1999 and up camaro fuel system. where is the fuel pressure regulator??

It is supposed to be in the tank but is it part of the pump/pickup assembly?or is it electrical? is it a seperate unit in the tank??

Almost every one is using a walbro pump and 99 and up vette regulator/ filter and that I understand . But I am wanting a cheaper solution. I would like to use stock pump from 05 gto( cause I have it) will it work? thanks Paul

To the best of my knowledge, PR is a seperate item in the tank, and operates mechanically, not electrically.

I would think that the PR on the GTO pump would also return into the tank.

More accurate answers from other members to follow.

The GTO & LS series Camaros all had regulators in the tank. The rails do not have provisions for a return line.

The 99-03 pickups did have a regulator on the rails as did the 97-98 Vette.
