Default People running aeromotive A1000s

Longevity? How many miles do you have on yours/ did you get before it failed? Mounted in the tank or out of the tank? Im looking at the Aeromotive eliminator fuel cells with the pump already in tank, 2 wires and youre done blah blah blah. But its $800!!! I can get a A1000 pump and a cheaper cell and all my fuel line for less than that, but im wondering if its really worth it to have a cell already set up to have the pump in tank. The noise reduction would be nice but I doubt it would bother me if it was outside the cell, since its going at the *** end of a truck bed anyway. Comments welcome, lemme know whatcha thinks. Cheers

The pump in the cell must be a good design because it's OE on the new 2010 Cobra Jet. Ford wouldn't use it if it wasn't top notch.

My brother has an A1000 that he's had on his truck for years mounted externally. Granted, in those years he's only accumulated about 2000 miles. I will tell you though, he has it mounted towards the very rear of his truck bed and it is still very loud.

The question about longevity isn't really about the wet/dry mounting, it's about whether or not you spend the extra money for Aeromotive's fuel pump controller. My brother doesn't, but for someone daily driving, I would recommend it.

I myself have an SX Performance 18203 pump, which is supposed to be similar to the A1000, but I don't have my car running yet.
