Default Stock 28lb injector question

Hey guys, I was wondering what the difference is between the 1998 12554271 injectors and the 01-02 12561462 injectors? Ive read in one of the high performance ls1/ls6 books that both PN's flow exactly the same at 4 bar, but then ive read on the web that there might be a slight difference... im not sure what to believe. Is it safe to use the 01-02 28lbrs in my 1998 car?

Thanks
-Kyle

there is no difference. The 271 injector came with a Buna o ring, the later 462 came with viton o rings . The base injector is the same, and you can put them in a 98
