ok so car i just bought has the part circled in white taken off/deleted/missing?

what is it? the car idles at like 2k then after sittin for a sec or so it will slowly idle down to normal idle??



car has.. trex cam, headers, ory, slp loudmouth, lid, air/egr deleted, air pump deleted, FAST intake (78mm)



any ideas why its idling so high and what is this part?

(not my motor just used it as example)

 

That is the EVAP solenoid to vent the fuel tank. Line runs from the charcoal can back by the tank to the intake manifold. Idle issue sounds like a vacuum leak, sticky TB or a bad tune.

 

stock tune... never been tuned... but has cam shouldnt idle high should it?

 

check tb gasket its good... and ideas now? there are 2 ports on the intake that are capped off... one went to the purge valve thts missing and one went to i dunno.. should i try buying a purge valve?
