Update. I finally had this engine dyno tuned by someone very familiar with the Holley HP EFI. End result was 480 HP at the wheel, and 517 lb/ft.

OEM LS2, untouched 243 heads, but did use Mahle flat-top pistons. Livernoise stage II cam with their recommended spring kit, and medium length 1-3/4" tube headers.
ITB's worked out really well, and part of that is 1) the very progressive throttle linkage, and 2), the speed density management (did not wish to Alpha-N this if at all possible). The 48mm ID ITBs, on paper should be good for another 50HP depending on how this is applied (does that value take into consideration that the shafts block almost 20% of the bore?).

Anyway, due to a failure of the block after 7 years of track time (bumped the rev limiter 200 RPM to 7K) in overtaking a GT2RS that kept me behind him, I am rebuilding the setup for the rectangular port rather than cathedral port heads. The new motor is a sleeved LS3 (4.125") with stock stroke (388 CID, or 6.4L). A Cam Motion road track cam, and a revised intake that will take advantage of the higher flowing heads and cam. Bottom end will include a forged bottom end this time, and better valve-train components. With the new set-up, shift points in the 7000 to 7200 range will allow a LOT more flexibility on the road courses in terms of track-out RPM, and brake zone RPMs.

The sound is just magnificent.

Are the headers equal-length?

This site has a wealth of information, and as long as I utilize the LS package, I will be poking around.
