Default Regulator location

I have a Question about where to locate my Regulator in my 1991 Camaro

Mods:
LS2 T-56 swap with Cam and Headers. Ls6 intake and 2006 GTO injectors, may do Fuel Rails depending on which way I go with system. 2001 Firebird tank with Warboro 255 pump.

Background:
I have read there are 2 theories on where to place the Regulator on a LS1 conversion.

1st is to put it at the back of the car by the tank, I have read this keeps the Fuel cooler and saves you money on the cost of Plumbing the car only 1 long run to the from of the car. Only Issue I see with this is it makes it a pain in the butt to Adjust Fuel pressure (have to crawl under car), and Pressure drop possible to front of the car.

2nd is to put the Regulator up in the engine compartment, the Benefit is that you know accurately the fuel pressure at the front of the car, Easy to adjust(right there under Hood), easliy hook to vaccum Reference to lower FP on Decelaration. Draw backs More Cost, Maybe Additional Heat.
Option 1: LS2 Fuel Rail single Feed reg on Shock tower.
Option 2: New Fuel rails with Reg on the Rails

Did I miss anything? Anything else I need to consider I am kinda leaning toward the Reg in Engine Compartment and option 1 option.

Thanks for Input,
Fred

I would go with the front mount regulator... the only way to do it right.

I can set you up with LS2 rails, for a good price, plus any other components you may need for your setup. Please give me a call if I can help.

I've done many 3rd gen conversions... did you replace your level sensor to correct your fuel gauge?
