Default evap question

I have a F1A on an 02 WS6 and just today I started smelling gas in and outside of the car, and I get an SES light. The code is evap has small leak or something along those lines. I searched the fourm and I get mixed comments on deleting the evap and I am leaning towards keeping it since its still a street car. So my question is can I tap a hole in my inlet filter on the blower and relocate the evap there instead of the intake where its seeing up to 19lb of boost at times. Not to sure how the evap works so dont know if this will help my problem or not.

Keep the evap. It can remain connected to the intake since it does not work under heavy throttle conditions anyway. The solenoid will be closed under boost.
