Fuel Pressure Gauge Question.

Fuel Pressure Gauge Question. i can't seem to find my instructions for my Autometer cobalt fuel pressure gauge...when you turn on the ignition, is it supposed to go to zero, than back when you turn the ignition on??
For some reason, mine is stuck on 56psi and doesn't move whether the car is on or not...very odd. I removed the schraeder valve from the fuel rail, and the gauge light comes on when i start the car...
any help/suggestions would be appreciated.

sounds like your guage's box has fried. mine doesn't return to zero with the key off, although it may drop a bit by itself.

My fuel pressure gauge just took a dump too. I have the 0-100psi e-guage for about a year and yesterday, it stopped working. I checked all the wiring and it looked fine, so it must be the sender?!?!?!???? Will AutoMeter replace it????/

ok...i pulled the pod off (what a freaking PITA that is) and the wires were all fine.
All of the other gauges are working fine, so i'm assuming that either A. the sender is bad, or B. the gauge is bad.
Guess I have to send it back to autometer
