How much more power would upgrading my stock injectors make if say i got some 42# ones? Is this a mod that would be well worth it, upgrading injectors? thanks

 

Upgrading your injectors are only going to help you if you've modified your engine to the point that you need the extra fuel flow (big cam, high flow heads, turbo, supercharger, big nitrous, etc). 42# injectors are pretty hefty and if you don't take care of tuning and you don't have the requirement, you would be running pig rich.

If you don't need the extra fuel capacity then you don't need the extra fuel capacity. The stock injectors work great up into the 450-500 RWHP range.

 

Does it really HURT you to run larger injector than required?

 

not if your tuner can tune for the properely.

with a large injector, it takes more skill to get idle correct, ect.

That is why you don't see 42# injectors stock in everything, as they are used in the lightnings, and 03+ cobras only.

The 42's aren't worth it if your not going to use there flow.On a 400hp car they will not work as good as stock injector's.
