do i need a fuel pressure regulator

do i need a fuel pressure regulator so i have lq9 with l92 heads i just bought some edlebrock rails and id was wondering is it necessary to put a fuel pressure regulator or do i bolt it right up i currently have 42# green tops

lol I was getting schooled here at work is the reason I ask is because they were saying im going to need a aftermarket one due to the fact it was only going to be at 58 psi and with a aftermarket one it will work better? or something like that
